Gil Reines
Gil holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and another degree in family mediation. Since 2013, he has led NATAN’s field operations in disaster zones worldwide. In 2018, Gil created and continues to lead NATAN’s mobile dental clinic projects, providing crucial dental care in underserved communities. He is also a member of NATAN’s finance committee, contributing his expertise in strategic planning.
Alice Miller

Alice Miller
Alice Miller, born in South Africa, made Aliyah to Israel at the age of six. Known for her landmark legal battle that opened the Israeli Air Force (IAF) pilot course to women, she is a pioneer in advancing gender equality in Israel. Alice holds a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Technion and an MBA from Tel Aviv University. Alice spent a decade as an officer in the IAF and two more decades in aerospace and technology in the private sector. Following the October 7th attack, she shifted her focus to humanitarian work. She lives in the Galilee of Israel and part time in India with her family.

Danny Kahn
Danny was the previous chair of Natan. He had a distinguished career in informal education and played a key role in rescuing Jews from Muslim countries. He served as a senior officer in the Prime Minister’s Office and was the Director of International Development for World ORT in Geneva. Danny is married to Dolly; they have three children and seven grandchildren.

Ygal Katz
Ygal holds a Bachelor's degree in History and Political Science from Bar-Ilan University and a Master's degree in International Development and Business from the University of Sussex. He holds significant experience in marketing and business development, working as a marketing and PR project lead for several start-ups and technology companies. In addition, he gained experience in the field of educational management and teaching while working previously in schools and child centers as a teacher and coordinator.
Sharon Shaul, MD
Medical Relief Lead
Sharon Shaul, MD
Sharon is a graduate of Tel Aviv University’s Faculty of Medicine and an expert in emergency medicine. She works at Poria Medical Center and leads NATAN’s medical operations in disaster areas. Sharon has directed multiple humanitarian missions worldwide and, since October 2023, has managed NATAN’s medical clinics for evacuees. She is married to Shlomo and is a mother of five.
Oded Regev
Logistics Lead
Oded Regev
Oded has over 20 years of experience in administrative management and a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Haifa. He currently manages small businesses at Kibbutz Maagan Michael. Oded has led numerous NATAN humanitarian field operations, including emergency logistics and supply chain coordination. He is also an active member of NATAN’s finance committee.

Yael Fradkin
Yael is an expert in operational management and emergency response. She has led multiple large-scale projects that require precise coordination and rapid deployment. Known for her innovative approach, Yael has been instrumental in designing NATAN’s unique programs, focusing on long-term community resilience and strategic relief interventions in Israel and abroad.
Anat Belluco

Anat Belluco
Anat is the head of HR. A graduate of Ben Gurion University with a Master’s degree in psychology. With 35 years of professional experience, she has managed various aspects of Human Resources, including recruitment, training, and organizational development. Anat currently leads NATAN’s HR team and is the Project Lead for the Gaza Health Center, focusing on team welfare and operational efficiency.
Dr. Eitan Shahar

Dr. Eitan Shahar
Dr. Eitan Shachar holds a PhD degree in Social Work from Ben Gurion University. He is a lecturer at Ben Gurion University and Sapir Academic College. Eitan is a respected expert in community-based psychosocial development and defined NATAN’s psychosocial methodology. He has led multiple NATAN projects, providing support and training to trauma-affected communities worldwide.
Udi Cohen

Udi Cohen
Udi holds a Bachelor's degree in Education and Masters degrees in Jewish Studies and Non-Profit Management. He has been the director of the Jewish Reform Movement’s kindergarten network and managed various educational and social organizations. Udi joined NATAN in 2017 as Head of Mission, where he leads educational initiatives and community programs, promoting resilience and social cohesion. Udi is married to Sharon, and they have three children.
Mike Attinson

Mike Attinson
Mike holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics, an MBA, and a second Master’s degree in Public Health and Disaster Management. He serves as a disaster response consultant to JDC-GRID and volunteers as a medic with Magen David Adom. Since 2010, Mike has been an active member of NATAN’s Board, leading its policy, ethics, and procedures team, and advising on strategic disaster response.
Adi Ramot

Adi Ramot
Adi is a Registered Nurse and Public Health manager with Masters degrees in Risk and Disaster Management and Health Administration. She was one of the initiators of NATAN’s first disaster relief operation in Sri Lanka in 2004. Adi oversees the nursing teams and public health initiatives at NATAN, specializing in long-term health solutions for vulnerable populations. She lives in Kibbutz Yotvata with her husband, Avi.
Dr. Dorit Nitzan
Medical and Humanitarian Advisor
Dr. Dorit Nitzan
Dorit is a pediatrician, dietitian, and epidemiologist. She served as the World Health Organization’s Regional Emergencies Director in Europe until 2022 and was previously Director of the Food and Nutrition Administration in the Israeli Ministry of Health. Since joining NATAN in 2022, Dorit has been involved in health programs in Ukraine and Israel and is currently leading the medical response for evacuees.

Gal Yoffe
Gal holds a Master’s degree in Emergency and Disaster Management from Tel Aviv University. He specializes in humanitarian operations and deployment logistics. Since joining NATAN in 2016, he has led several missions, including managing the refugee aid operation in Serbia. He became NATAN’s Chief Operations Officer in 2017 and now oversees NATAN’s strategic field operations and emergency response.

Noam holds a BA in Business Management from the Open University of Israel. He is CEO at Badarom Technologies Ltd., a company he co-founded in 2011. With over 15 years of experience in IT and services, Noam has been volunteering with NATAN since 2020, leading the organization’s technology development and IT infrastructure to support its growing operations.

Dr. Efi Carmi
Dr. Effi Carmi has more than 25 years of experience as a dentist. As NDCI’s chief dentist, he provides direct patient service as well as training and monitoring of our other dental professionals He operates a private clinic in Moshav Olesh that employs five dentists and a specialist in oral hygiene and rehabilitation. Effi accompanied NATAN’s first dentists' delegation to the Syrian refugee camps in Serbia in 2018.

Shoham Yitshak
Shoham was born and raised in Kibbutz Ramot Menashe. After living and working in São Paulo, Brazil, for nearly a decade in the security industry, Shoham returned to Israel and has been managing the Sports Department at Beit Halochem Haifa for 21 years. He joined NATAN’s dental clinic team in Haifa in 2021, and currently co-manages the clinic alongside his close friend Gil Reines, who introduced him to the organization. Shoham is also a graduate of NATAN’s Delegation Leaders course and takes pride in being part of this remarkable organization.

Helen Zelon is an award-winning journalist and nonprofit communications leader dedicated to social justice and highlighting underreported stories. A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, she has a rich career in writing, reporting, editing, and mentoring. Helen joined NATAN as a volunteer several years ago and now serves as the Editor of NATAN's documentation and publications, including the monthly newsletter.

Therese Berkowitz
Therese is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan and has over 30 years of experience in advertising and graphic design. After immigrating to Israel, she volunteered with NATAN and became the organization’s chief designer. Therese’s work spans social media, print brochures, and annual reports, where her creativity enhances NATAN’s visual storytelling and donor engagement.

Nili has a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Economics from New York University and a Project Management certification from PMI. She had a long career as a journalist and blogger before joining NATAN in 2014. From 2016 to 2023, she led NATAN’s Communications team, shaping its outreach strategies. She currently supports content development and strategic communications for the organization.

Natali is a technology expert with over 20 years of experience in software development and database management. She holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Taurian Academy in Melitopol, Ukraine. Since 2020, Natali has been volunteering with NATAN, where she created and developed the organization’s comprehensive database system, enhancing its operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

Ira Luts
Ira holds a Master’s degree in Biology Education from Zaporizhya National University in Ukraine. After immigrating to Israel, she specialized in intercultural transition at the Kibbutz Seminary College. Ira manages NATAN’s Ukraine Resilience Training Program and the Community Resilience Center in Kharkiv, overseeing all NATAN initiatives in Ukraine, from psychosocial support to community health programs.
Zoe Sever

Zoe Sever
Originally from Lviv, Ukraine, Zoe became an Israeli citizen in 1990. As an officer in the Israeli Defense Forces, she supported the families of fallen and wounded soldiers. Since the war in Ukraine, she has frequently volunteered with NATAN and is currently the organization's "boots on the ground" in Ukraine, providing crisis response training and working closely with local agencies. Zoe founded the United People Planet Foundation, supplying essential aid to civilians and soldiers. She also leads "Window to the World," a project that transforms bomb shelters into brighter, child-friendly spaces in hospitals and schools.

Rupa Maharajan (Nepal)
Rupa Maharjan,based in Nepal is a Development Studies Graduate and serves as the program lead for NATAN's initiatives in Nepal. With a decade of experience in the development sector, she has expertise on community engagement, partnership building and program management. She joined NATAN in February 2023, just before the launch of NATAN's Program HOPE in Nepal and has been instrumental in fostering strong community relationships and driving meaningful progress on the ground.

Orit Yulzary, co-managing a fund aimed at strengthening the resilience and well-being of educational staff in the Gaza envelope following October 7th. Orit is a mediator and an expert in community social work. She has held various management positions in the social and public sectors, including developing social services, training senior officials, and guiding social workers. Orit managed the Center for Living Together, which worked to promote a new social partnership in Israeli society. Orit is a mother of four and lives with her family in Kfar Harif.

Bruriya Noyberger
Bruria Neuberger, resident of Ofakim, mother of nine, and grandmother to many, is an experienced educator with an M.A. in Organizational Consulting. She has previously managed a girls’ high school and a youth village for at-risk girls. Bruria now primarily consults for educational institutions, leads workshops, and specializes in resilience training.

She is a social and political activist, an urban planner, and a former member of the Lod City Council. She serves as a co-chair of the "Itach-Ma’aki" organization, where she works extensively to promote women's rights. Additionally, she is a member of the board of directors at the Association for Civil Rights in Israel, contributing her expertise to the advancement of human and civil rights.

Alan M. Silberstein
Alan Silberstein is president of Allston Associates,
a strategic advisory firm specializing in retail
financial services, fintech and turnaround
management. He also has served on several
corporate boards including Global Payments and
Green Bancorp
Alan retired as Chief Executive Officer of Western
Union in 2001. Previously, he served in senior
executive positions at Travelers Insurance, Midlantic
Bank (now PNC Financial), and Chemical Bank (now
JPMorgan Chase), Early in his career, before
becoming a banker, Mr. Silberstein worked for the
New York City Bureau of the Budget under Mayor
John Lindsay, and as a design engineer for the Ford
Motor Company.
He serves as Chair of the Forward Association, publisher of the largest Jewish American
publication, and is a member and chair emeritus of the Board of Visitors of Columbia University’s
engineering school, a member of the Board of Governors of Tel Aviv University, and treasurer of
the Sister Rose Thering Fund for Education in Jewish Christian Studies at Seton Hall University.
He also serves on the board of the Frederick O’Reilly Hayes Prize Foundation.
He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and also of Business Executives for National
Security, where he works on intelligence matters.
Mr. Silberstein received his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Columbia University
and his MBA from Harvard. Alan has been supporting NATAN for the last 5 years.

Marcella Rosen
Marcella founded Untold News in January 2010. In
2002, she established the Campus Tolerance
Foundation to research and create awareness
about the bias present on college campuses. She
formerly held the role of Director of Media
Worldwide, an Executive Vice President and
Corporate Board member of NW Ayer Inc, then
one of the largest advertising agencies, as well as
President of Trager-Rosen, Inc. and Executive Vice
President of Freemark, an early dot-com. She
serves as a Director of the 92nd Street Y, the
Jewish Community Relations Council, and the Abraham Joshua Heschel School. Barnard
College awarded Marcella the Distinguished Alumna Award in May of 2015. She is a
past recipient of the Matrix Award for Advertising from Women in Communications and
the Crystal Prism award from Advertising Women of New York. She was the Founder
and Chair of The Deciding Vote, an ad hoc group in communications, which ran a
campaign to get women to vote in 1992.

David Broza
Singer-Songwriter, Humanitarian
David Broza
David Broza is an internationally renowned Israeli
singer-songwriter, recognized for his dynamic guitar
performances and humanitarian efforts. Social justice
and peace advocacy are embedded in Broza’s work;
his 1977 hit song “Yihye Tov” remains an Israeli
peace anthem.
Broza was born in Haifa, Israel and spent his teenage
years in Spain and the UK. After returning to Israel,
Broza started his musical career at age 22. His travels
have contributed to his international sound and
commitment to human connection, story-telling, and
equality.
At the core of his social justice work is the belief that
music is a platform for dialogue and tolerance. He is the founder of the non-profit One Million
Guitars, which gives underprivileged schoolchildren around the world hand-crafted guitars and
the foundation of a musical education. David joined NATAN’s Advisory Board in 2021.

Oliver Goldstein
Oliver Goldstein is a Partner at The
Rise Fund, the private markets impact
investing platform of TPG, where he
focuses on impact investments in
financial services and technology,
circular economy and business
services. Oliver has 24 years of
private equity investing
experience. Prior to joining The Rise
Fund, Oliver was a partner at Pine
Brook, a private equity firm focused
on growth investing in the financial
services and energy industries, and prior to that was a partner at Eton
Park Capital Management and Warburg Pincus. Oliver has an MBA from
Harvard Business School and a BS from Duke University.
Marvin Waldman
The Shadow Group
Marvin Waldman
Marvin is president of The Shadow Group, a creative
and strategic marketing consulting firm which works
for both profit and not-for-profit companies. He is a
visiting professor of Advertising in the Graduate
Design Management program at Pratt Institute, an
adjunct professor in the Integrated Marketing
program at NYU and a founding board member of the
Bronx Charter School for Better Learning. He served
as a trustee on the board of Generations United, a
non-profit advocacy group based in Washington, DC
for two terms. He recently became an advisory board
member for Business for America, which promotes
corporate responsibility.
Marvin was a communication advisor to President Obama’s 2008 and 2012 campaigns and
Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential bid. He was also a Creative Director on the Crystal Team,
which did the advertising and communications for Bill Bradley’s presidential campaign.
Previously, Marvin was Executive Creative Director and Executive Vice President of Young &
Rubicam Advertising.
Several of his short stories and poems have been published and a short play of his has been
produced. He has appeared on stage with the Upright Citizens’ Brigade, an improvisational
group in Manhattan.
Marvin is married to Ellen, a psychologist, and has two sons, Andrew and Jacob, a daughter-inlaw, Kathleen, a granddaughter, Drew, and a grandson, Mick. His Dog, Fudge, recently left the
family after a long and adventure-filled life.
Patricia Manasevit
Former Senior Attorney at the Office of Chief Counsel, IRS
Patricia Manasevit
Ms. Manasevit began her legal career as an
attorney advisor to the Honorable Joel Gerber
of the United States Tax Court. She recently
retired after 26 years at the Office of Chief
Counsel, IRS, where, for the last ten years she
served as Counsel’s Career Development
Advisor. She is certified in group facilitation,
as well as Meyers-Briggs Testing and
Interpretation. Ms. Manasevit is a four-time
recipient of the National Instructor Excellence
Award and was awarded the Treasury Legacy
Award for the development and
implementation of IRS Counsel’s National
Mentoring Program. She served on the Advisory Board of Georgetown Law School’s
Legal Writing Academy. Patricia presently serves on the Board of the Affiliated Santé
Groups, seven affiliated organizations providing crisis response, community outreach
and treatment and recovery services, among other things. Ms. Manasevit received her
B.A. from Lehigh University and her J.D., cum laude from the Washington College of
Law.

Leigh M. Manasevit
Leigh M. Manasevit has practiced in the field of
education law since 1974 beginning as a trial
attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S.
Department of Justice. Mr. Manasevit’s
government experience has given him an
extensive familiarity with the intricacies of
navigating the Federal bureaucracy and managing
school districts. As one of the two founding
partners of Brustein & Manasevit, PLLC, Mr.
Manasevit in 1980 established a law practice that
addresses the legal issues involving educational
institutions public, private, elementary and
secondary, or post-secondary on the Federal level.
He has appeared extensively before all tribunals
of the U.S. Department of Education and regularly
pursues Federal court review of unfavorable
agency decisions. On the elementary and
secondary level Mr. Manasevit has worked
extensively on No Child Left Behind (NCLB). He co-authored a comprehensive manual
on No Child Left Behind, and its predecessor, the Improving America’s Schools Act. Mr.
Manasevit also has a nationally recognized reputation in the area of special education.
Mr. Manasevit successfully represented the State of New Mexico in Zuni Public School
District 89 v. Department of Education, before the United States Supreme Court.
Steve Stulman

Steve Stulman
Steve Stulman is a long-time Zionist, having visited Israel more than 65 times over the past 55 years. He has been deeply involved as a lay leader in almost every aspect of Jewish communal and American-Israeli life, from the National Young Leadership Cabinet of the UJA to the America-Israel Chamber of Commerce and as Deputy Chairman and Treasurer of The Board of The Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel.
His special interest during the past decade has been the promotion of Israeli Judaism as an alternative to secularism or orthodoxy, especially through the creation of independent, pluralistic, egalitarian new Jewish communities and organizations such as Beit Tefilah Israeli in Tel Aviv, Nigun Halev in the Jezreel Valley and the Beit Midrash Israeli in Jerusalem. He has also tried to enhance the visibility of these organizations through the use of professional public relations and has recently helped to promote the visibility of NATAN.
Steve earned a B.A. from Yale University and served as an officer in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He spent his business career as an executive in the lumber distribution industry and lives in New York City.

Steve Farkas is co-founder of the FDR Group
(www.thefdrgroup.com), a nonpartisan public
opinion research firm that helps nonprofit
organizations understand how key groups and
the public feel about their initiatives. The firm
conducts surveys, focus groups, leadership
interviews, and program evaluations.
Steve is the principal researcher of hundreds of
major opinion studies on such issues as
education, democracy, philanthropy, criminal
justice, and foreign policy. His expertise lies in
crafting original questionnaires, employing
advanced statistical techniques, and
moderating focus groups. He has appeared on CNN, NPR, CBS, and
ABC. He serves on the executive boards of nifi.org and
untoldnews.org.
Steve earned his B.A. from New York University, and his M.A. and M.
Phil. from Columbia University′s Department of Political Science. From
1992 to 2004 Steve was Director of Research at Public Agenda, a
nonprofit think tank. Steve lives in Manhattan, frequently returning to
visit his native Israel.
Richard A. Edlin

Richard A. Edlin
Richard A. Edlin is Vice-Chair at Greenberg
Traurig, LLP. He is the chair of the New York
Litigation Department, chair of Regional
Operations, and a member of the firm's
executive committee. Edlin is an accomplished
trial attorney who has successfully handled
dozens of trials and arbitrations around the
country. He is currently handling major matters
in the securities, intellectual property, and
antitrust areas. He is also experienced in a
variety of corporate, securities, venture capital,
and private equity transactions. Edlin is listed
in Chambers & Partners USA Guide to Leading Business Lawyers, The Best Lawyers in
America, in New York Super Lawyers, and in New York magazine's recent publication
of The New York Area's Best Lawyers. He currently serves on the Board of Governors of
Hackensack University Medical Center, the 4th largest university medical center in the
United States and was a charter member of the Carnegie Council's Friends Committee.
Edlin received his J.D. from Columbia Law School and his B.A. magna cum laude in
history from Tufts University.
Doug Weinberg

Doug Weinberg
Doug Weinberg is a senior executive with
more than 30 years’ experience building
successful organizations. He founded and
is the Managing Director of Adapt Nation
Capital, a company that invests globally in
climate tech and health tech startups.
Previously, Doug was the founder and CEO
of a Cobius Healthcare Solutions, which
develops software for American hospitals
and healthcare systems. Before Cobius,
Doug practiced corporate and international law, and he served as a business
consultant at McKinsey & Company.
Doug is an adjunct professor at Yeshiva University’s Sy Syms School of
Business. He also serves as Vice-President of the Tony Patiño Fellowship, one of
the largest private, merit-based scholarships for legal education in the U.S.
Doug has a BA from Princeton and a JD from the University of Chicago Law
School. He studied Arab history and Middle Eastern politics as a Rotary Scholar
at Tel Aviv University. Doug joined NATAN’s Advisory Board in 2022.
