Henry Elkeslassy founded NATAN together with several friends in 2004.  NATAN was named for Henry’s close friend, Abie Nathan, in order to carry on Abie’s humanitarian legacy. Henry served served as Chairman of NATAN for three years.  He is a lifelong volunteer who was honored for his volunteerism when he was chosen to light a torch in the national Independence Day ceremony in 2001. Henry led many humanitarian operations throughout the world, including Turkey, Sri Lanka and other disaster zones. In Henry’s words: “I wish that there will be no more disasters and that the spirit of volunteerism will continue to flow forever.”
