Henry Elkeslassy founded NATAN with friends in 2004, naming it to carry on the humanitarian legacy of his close friend, Abie Nathan. Henry served as Chairman for three years and is a lifelong volunteer. In 2001, he was honored for his volunteerism by lighting a torch at the national Independence Day ceremony. Henry led numerous humanitarian operations in disaster zones globally, including Turkey and Sri Lanka. In his words: “I wish that there will be no more disasters and that the spirit of volunteerism will continue to flow forever.”
