NATAN Worldwide Disaster Relief is dispatching an emergency team to Nepal following the flash floods that struck on August 26, 2026. According to initial reports, hundreds have been killed and thousands remain missing, as search and rescue operations continue.
“We are returning to Nepal with the experience and partnerships we built with the Nepali people since the 2015 earthquake,” says Gil Reines, Chair of NATAN’s Executive Board. “NATAN volunteers — medical and mental health professionals who leave their daily routines at a moment’s notice — are arriving in Nepal to provide medical and psychosocial care to survivors and to strengthen local healthcare systems. Precisely at a community’s moment of crisis, we are there to extend a hand, stand behind them, and walk alongside them on the path toward recovery.”
