Update on the refugee situation: 7 weeks after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, refugees continue to stream across the borders. As of this week, 4.6 million refugees have left Ukraine, with over 2.6 million of them entering Poland, where NATAN’s teams are deployed.
NATAN, together with the JCC of Krakow, hosted the “Passover in Przemysl” multicultural celebration for some 150 aid workers and refugees. The event was sponsored by JDC Grid and UJA Federation of NY. Read more.
Rescuing Mother and Baby – NATAN social workers came to the aid of a very young mother who escaped Kramatorsk, Ukraine, with her newborn baby, after spending 8 days sheltering in a basement. Kramatorsk is the city where Russian bombing of a civilian train station killed 50 and wounded over 100. Read more here.

Women’s Health Project in Nepal – NATAN Social Workers Efrat Gronsky and Dr. Eitan Shahar are in Dudhauli, Nepal providing training to community healthcare workers and case managers on communications techniques to educate youth and women about reproductive safety and gender-based violence.
