Israel - Mobile Dental Clinics
NATAN operates state-of-the-art Mobile Dental Care Units. This is NATAN’s first official project inside Israel. Originally founded as an international disaster relief organization, we are delighted to be able to share our medical, dental expertise with needy populations everywhere, at home and abroad. Using portable dental equipment which folds into several rolling cases, the mobile clinic can be set up anywhere, quickly and easily. A successful pilot program was completed at a refugee camp, where over 150 patients were treated in one week.
Helping out at home: Unable to fly abroad during the pandemic, NATAN’s dental team began our first-ever operations inside Israel: Since early 2021 our Mobile Dental Clinics have helped people in protective shelters throughout Israel. In the Vehaavta clinic in Haifa, NATAN aids the most underserved populations including women and youth at risk, asylum seekers and others who lack dental coverage. Our teams have provided both urgent dental care, ongoing follow-up including full dental reconstruction. We continue to recruit new teams of dental volunteers, so that we are ready to deploy in further locations. In the coming months, NATAN will open a second clinic in Tel Aviv, and launch a dental care and mouth hygiene project in a developing country. We need your donation to purchase a new portable unit.
